Eligibility Criteria for RRB Group D Recruitment 2026

The eligibility criteria for RRB Group D recruitment including nationality, educational qualifications, age limit all are mentioned below. Candidates aspiring for this recruitment must ensure they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria.

Nationality: The candidate must be either a citizen of India or Nepal, or Bhutan.

Age Limit: The age of the candidates should be between 18 years to 33 years. Iindicated for a particular post(s) in the Post Parameter Table (Annexure-A) will be reckoned as on 01.01.2026.

Age Relaxation: Upper age limit for different categories are as under:

• OBC-Non Creamy Layer (NCL): 3 Years
• SC/ST: 5 Years
• Ex-servicemen with at least 6 months service after attestation UR&EWS: 3 years (after deduction of length of service from age): OBC-NCL: 6 years SC/ST: 8 years, UR&EWS: 10 years
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) OBC-NCL: 13 Years, SC/ST: 15 Years

Educational Qualifications:

Candidates must already have the Educational/Technical qualifications prescribed in the CEN from recognized Board/Institute/University. (Check Annexure-A for the prescribed qualifications for each post)

• Payable fee: Rs. 500/-
• For candidates who belong to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minorities or Economically Backward Class: Rs. 250/-

Selection Process of RRB Group D Recruitment

The Recruitment process of RRB Group D are as follows

• The exam shall be a single stage Computer Based Test (CBT). Candidates qualifying in the CBT shall have to undergo Physical Efficiency Test (PET). After PET Document Verification and Medical Examination.

2. Candidate must first create an account with RRBs.
3. After that, applicants can login to the portal using their user name or Registered mobile number.
4. Applicants are advised to keep the mobile number active and unchanged until the recruitment process is over.
5. After login candidates can apply for RRB group D recruitment, fill the personal details, upload necessary documents, live photo capture during application, upload signature, and fill academic details carefully.
6. Re-check before submission and download the Acknowledgement form for future reference.
